2017 NPL Youth Academy Player Identification Programme
Identification games for our Youth Academy programme will be held at the following times:
· DAYS Tuesday- 1st November and 8th November
· TIME 7.30
· VENUE Redlands United
All players who wish to be considered for the youth academy should participate in these ID games. If selected they will join our retained players and form our youth academy for 2017. The training format of the academy will remain as in 2016 with our U18 7 U20 squads training as a combined Youth academy and playing in their respective match day squads.
Costs of participation and payment will be advised at the youth Academy information evening date -TBA

RUFC’s 2017 NPL Player Identification Programs will be conducted using a two stage identification process:
Stage 1: Open Identification (2 contact sessions) – all players wishing to be part of RUFC’s 2017 NPL program including all returning 2016 NPL players must attend both Stage 1 sessions.
Stage 2: Talent Identified Squad (2 contact Sessions additional sessions may be added if required)

PLEASE BE ADVISED THE FIRST IDENTIFICATION FOR U13 & 14 AGE GROUPS ON THE 3rd OCTOBER HAVE BEEN POSTPONED. THE DATES FOR THESE SESSIONS ARE AS BELOW.
- Stage 1: Tuesday 4th & Thursday 6th October 4:30-5:45
- Stage 2: Tuesday 11th & Thursday 13th October 4:30-5:45
U13 Boys ***Revised Dates***:
- Stage 1: Wednesday 5th & Monday 10th October 5:00-6:15
- Stage 2: Wednesday 12th & TBC October 5:00-6:15
U14 Boys ***Revised Dates***:
- Stage 1: Wednesday 5th & Monday 10th October 6:30-8:00
- Stage 2: Wednesday 12th & TBC October 6:30-8:00
- Stage 1: Tuesday 4th & Thursday 6th October 6:00-7:15
- Stage 2: Tuesday 11th & Thursday 13th October 6:00-7:15
- Stage 1: Tuesday 4th & Thursday 6th October 7:30-8:45
- Stage 2: Tuesday 11th & Thursday 13th October 7:30-8:45
Players and parents are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled session start time to register.
All sessions will be 75 minutes long and will comprise of:
- 30mins Skill Acquisitions Phase (SAP) Core Skills Drills
- 45 mins 7 vs 7, 9 vs 9 11 vs 11 game play

Player assessment will be conducted using the following criteria:
Technical Ability (SAP Core Skills)
Effectiveness with the ball
Effectiveness without the ball
Goalkeeper Identification Sessions will be conducted throughout the trial process.
Assessment will be conducted using the following criteria:
Receiving the ball
Moving to the ball
Distributing the ball
Parents will be required to attend an NPL information session held at the time of the first Player Identification Session
