Redlands United U8-11 Academy/Komodo Player Identification Programme

This programme is a further evolution in the player development programme at Redlands United. A group of players U9-11 will be identified within the age groups to train 3 nights a week within the Academy under the guidance of independent FFA certified Skills Trainers. Player in the U8 age group will participate in an extended training programme, taking on an extra training sessions and inter-club fixture in addition to playing in the RUFC Mini-Roos U8 in house programme.

Players from these programmes will represent Redlands United in the Football Brisbane Komodo hubs with support from Academy coaches and Assistant Coaches.

The purpose of this programme is to provide greater quality and consistency in the development training of our most important age group with a view to progressing them onto the highest level of junior development football, the National Premier Leagues.

RUFC’s 2016 U8-11 Academy/Komodo Player Identification Programmes will be conducted over 2 sessions on the following dates at the following times:

U8’s Monday 31st October and 7th November 4:30-5:45pm
U9’s Monday 31st October and 7th November 6:00-7:15pm
U10’s Thursday 3rd and 10th November 4:30-5:45
U11’s Thursday 3rd and 10th November 6:00-7:15pm

Assessment Process

Player assessment will be conducted using the following criteria:

Athletisism
Technical Ability (SAP Core Skills)
Effectiveness with the ball
Effectiveness without the ball
Engagement

Parents will be required to attend an information session held at the time of the second Player Identification Session.
