REDLANDS TAKE THE POINTS AT THE SUNSHINE COAST

8 Apr 2019

Redlands United are back in the winner’s circle as they end an unlucky losing run with a vital 3-2 away win against Sunshine Coast FC.

By the end of next weekend, Redlands United will have played 3 games in 6 days.

Wednesday night the Red Devils play AC Carina in the FFA Cup at the Cleveland Showgrounds with a 7.30pm kick off.

Saturday Redlands host runaway competition leaders Peninsula Power at the Cleveland Showgrounds, in the Round 11 National Premier Leagues clash at 5pm.

Last Sunday the Redlands United played Sunshine Coast FC in a must win National Premier League clash at Kawana on the Sunshine Coast.

A good number of Redlands fans made the trip up to Kawana for the National Premier League clash.

The travelling Redlands fans were in fine voice and on fire as they yelled themselves to a standstill, cheering the Red Devil’s home.

The Red Devils came from behind during the game before Redlands striker, Shuto Kuboyama, completed his hat trick and scored the winner in the 89th minute, securing a vital 3-2 victory for the Red Devils.

The victory moves Redlands into 10th place on the NPL Ladder and builds the team’s confidence going into the knockout FFA Cup clash with AC Carina.

The win finished off a good day for Redlands as earlier in the day the Under 18’s completed a nil all draw and the Under 20’s had a great 2-0 win.

Celebrations over the much needed victory were loud but short lived as the side’s focus now moves to Wednesday Night’s FFA Cup knockout clash against AC Carina.

With school holidays underway, Redlands United are calling for their supporters to turn out in force for this mid week clash and cheer loud and proud for the Red Devils.
